Best Practice Gallery Walk and End of the Year Celebration
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Room 206CD (upstairs)
Check in at the registration desk and identify yourself as a TPEP participant.
The purpose of the gallery walk is to share completed models and ideas for professional development and implementation, as well as to celebrate the conclusion of a very productive year. Districts will use a trifold or poster board to share the components of their models with one another. The poster board should contain the elements of the models as described in the teacher and principal workbooks. After the gallery walk, AWSP and WASA will find a space to display the models for regular conference attendees.
June 28th
John Saphier Keynote & Workshop
Conference Keynote, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
TPEP Workshop, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Check in at the registration desk and identify yourself as a TPEP participant.
Saphier will give a keynote workshop for all conference attendees in the morning. During the afternoon, Saphier will work with TPEP districts around the professional development at the building and district levels for teachers and principals implementing the new evaluation models.
Directions from WASA for Summer Conference:
- Districts identify participants who will be attending the regular WASA/AWSP Summer Conference. These participants may register at the WASA website ( www.wasa-oly.org) for normal summer conference with fees and pre-conference opportunities as they might normally; possibly along with any other district participants (not part of TPEP).
- Districts identify those who will be joining the conference – only as TPEP participants – and notify you through the Events Manager system at OSPI (https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/EventsManager/Public/Calendar.aspx). OSPI will collect the roster list and send it to WASA.
- WASA will create one master list using their registration system and our OSPI list and create a name badge so registrants will have access to all meetings/rooms/meals when they show their badge on Monday afternoon-Tuesday afternoon.
- Those who attend only the TPEP portion will still check in at registration desk for name badge and we can distribute any pre-meeting info and direct them to the correct room.
